Our Integrated Indigenous Learning programs for Junior and Senior grades could not have happened without the fantastic collaboration between the teachers and the OKIB community. Student success in courses and increased attendance was noticed throughout the learning journey. We run a session of course selection at OKIB to ensure students have the opportunity to discuss plans for the next year. We value the connection. PAC is an integral part of discussions around education and improving our school. Data is shared with PAC each year and goals discussed and input provided. School processes and growth are continuously a part of our monthly meetings. Increased transitions work with our elementary schools has been a focus this year. We have classes regularly inviting Grade 7 groups in to share their work and ideas. We continue our regular connections for course information nights, school visits, regular visits for our most vulnerable, August Grade 8 check schedule and class visit scavenger hunt. Career Transitions continue to be strong at Seaton. 79 students took advantage of Career Program opportunities. An additional 67 students are gaining work experience credits.
